We are so excited to share our wedding day with all of you! Our ceremony and reception will be on Saturday, October 17, 2009.

CEREMONY INFORMATION

The Ceremony will take place at 4:00pm at “Wedding Rock,” located at 2580 Ribera Road. It lies above the Middle Beach section of Carmel River State Beach.  It is accessible from the intersection of Ribera Road and Cuesta Way. We encourage all of our guests to park at La Playa Hotel prior to the ceremony and take the shuttles we have reserved. The shuttles will take guests from La Playa to The Rock prior to the ceremony, and from The Rock to La Playa afterwards for the reception. Shuttles will be departing from the La Playa lobby between 3:00pm and 3:30pm. There is also street parking available at both La Playa Hotel and Wedding Rock.

RECEPTION INFORMATION

The Reception will be held at the La Playa Hotel, which is located at the intersection of Eighth Avenue and Camino Real in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served beginning at 5:00pm. The dinner reception will be held from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Celebration and merriment may continue into the wee hours at some of the local establishments, however.

The hotel itself was built in 1905 by artist Christopher Jorgensen as a luxurious home for his bride, a member of San Francisco's famous Ghirardelli chocolate clan. It is set two blocks from the beach, has impeccably landscaped grounds (the gardener has been with the hotel for over 20 years!), and is considered the "Grande Dame of Carmel". We think it's a fun spot and great place to see the sun set on the ocean!

DIRECTIONS TO RECEPTION

Directions to La Playa Hotel From the North:
- Follow HWY 101 south to 156 west/Monterey exit
- HWY 156 will be a two lane road for about 4 miles
- HWY 156 becomes HWY 1 south to Ocean Avenue (signal)
- Turn right (main street of Carmel)
- Follow Ocean Avenue to Camino Real
- Turn left proceed two blocks to Eighth Avenue
- The hotel is on the corner of Eighth Avenue and Camino Real

Directions to La Playa Hotel From the South:
- Follow HWY 101 north to HWY 68/Monterey Peninsula exit
- Follow signs to Monterey Take HWY 68 west to HWY 1 south
- Follow HWY 1 to Ocean Avenue (signal)
- Turn right (Main street of Carmel)
- Follow Ocean Avenue to Camino Real
- Turn left, proceed two blocks to Eighth Avenue
- The hotel is on the corner of Eighth Avenue and Camino Real
